The Amira Group was founded by late Shri. Karam Chand Chanana as a modest venture in the agro-commodities trade.

The second generation continues to strive for newer heights and widening its base under the guidance of Shri Anil Chanana; he enabled the company to realize the potential in global arenas and establishing the foundation layers for international trade of agro commodities which led to the formation in 1978.

Taking the business legacy forward under the stewardship of Shri Karan A. Chanana, the Group Managing Director, Amira Foods India Limited was reckoned with the status of 'Global Growth Company' from the World Economic Forum. This accreditation is based on parameters including demonstrated leadership, outstanding execution and acknowledged operating experience.
